Homemade Pizza

Pizza is one of the oldest, best-loved foods all over the world. Who doesn’t like it? There are different types of dough and toppings. What is your favourite? Margarita, Hawaiian, Meat Feast or perhaps Vegetarian? Thin or thick crust?

I have tried few pizza dough recipes, but this one is the best – thin with slightly crispy texture and wide, airy edge. It is not difficult to prepare, but you need time to rise the dough. AND The best part is… you can put whatever you like on the top!

Preparation:

To lukewarm water add crushed yeast, sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and mix gently. Cover with cloth and leave for 15 min to activate yeast. Meantime, sift flour and sugar into large bowl. Check yeast solution – it should be a layer of foam. Pour it into flour and stir, adding olive oil and kneading dough vigorously. I am lazy, so I used my Kneading Dough Mixer 🙂 Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it is soft and flexible, then put in a bowl and cover with a cloth and set aside for an hour. In the meantime, you can prepare the sauce and cut the ingredients for the pizza.

Preheat oven (I baked them in fan 180 C). Divide dough into 2 pieces and roll out a thin cake, sprinkling it with flour. Transfer it to pizza tray, spread tomato sauce, then cheese and the put the rest of your chosen ingredients. Bake for 12 – 15 min.
